Background

Charles is a PhD researcher in law, with a focus on the prospect of permissive regulation being established for heritable human germline genome editing.

Charles has a keen interest in bioethics and the relationship of ethics and the law in medical related matters. Other such interests include human enhancement, artificial reproductive rights and the role of human rights in the future of biotechnologies.

Charles has been a faculty member of the School of Law at Middlesex University since 2019, as a Graduate Academic Assistant.
